WordUp is a card game I developed in 1996. It combines the challenge of word games with the fun and versatility of playing cards. The game consists of a deck of 56 cards and a die. Each card has a letter of a alphabet and a point value. Players can use the cards to play either single player or multiplayer games such as Word Up, Word Gin Rummy, Scrabble, 7-Down Solitaire or Minimal solitaire. Users can invent their own games. Just about any game played with a traditional deck of cards has a WordUp variant.
